Welcome, Troop 416 is a non-profit organization that was chartered in June 2008 by the Minsi Trail Council, in the state of Pennsylvania. At the current moment we consist of 16 boys, 2 Scout Leaders, 1 Scout Master and a committee of 4. We have made it obligatory upon our scouts that they cultivate courage, loyalty, patriotism, brotherliness, self-control, courtesy, and kindness to animals, usefulness, cheerfulness, cleanliness thrift, purity and honor. These goals are to provide the scouts with tools to be efficient leaders in the paths of civilization and peace, such as responsible citizenship, character development, and self-reliance through participation in a wide range of outdoor activities, educational programs, and, at older age levels, career-oriented programs in partnership with community organizations.
At Troop 416 our scouts’ lace up their hiking boots and set off on great adventures in the outdoors monthly and one week in the summer. We have several fundraisers, which the boys are taught the importance of providing services to the Lehigh Valley community. Our weekly meetings are on Tuesdays from 7:15—8:45 pm at the New Jerusalem Lutheran Church (3233 Apple Church Road, Bethlehem, PA 18015) where the scouts have the opportunity to work on various merit badges.
